1 The size of BU. The sheer size of the University allows for a huge selection of courses, from French Regional Wines to Nietzsche to Stalking the Wild Mind.
2 The professors.
3 Domino's Pizza takes BU Convenience Points.
4 Boston is a great college town, and the locals are highly entertaining; especially during Red Sox season.
5 There are plenty of undergraduate research opportunities (a rarity at most American colleges) for any self-motivated individual.
6 No Greek life.
7 The food, both off campus and on, is better than most other colleges.
8 West Campus cultivates that semi-campus feel.
9 The way BU beach looks at night, and the way it is reminiscent of fake scenery, which, one could argue, it is. It is the best grass on campus.
10 The intellectual atmosphere. This is the best environment for learning. If you are looking for more alternative methods of teaching, however, this is probably not the best thing for you. 差评项
1 The conservative administration is an ever-present source of distress for students.
2 The size of the University makes it difficult to get to know your professors. They will not come to you. You have to put in the effort.
3 BU, like any large university, has an impenetrable bureaucracy that becomes annoyingly problematic for individual students with individual issues.
4 The security on campus is reminiscent of your seventh grade bus driver if she were to suddenly develop a thick Boston accent. Don't swipe your card more than once in the wrong direction, or you are liable to get shut out.
5 The blatant apathy of much of the student body
6 Everything is overpriced, from the housing, to the coffee, to the nightlife.
7 No smoking on campus . . . anywhere
8 We start earlier, end later, and have the least vacation time of all of the universities in the area. Also, spring break is usually one or two weeks later than the majority of colleges in the US.
9 Boston closes down at 2 a.m., with lingering party-goers until about 4 a.m. After that, you have to find your own party space.
10 Freshman classes at BU. Most of the quality professors never teach them, and they are usually filled beyond the maximum and held in a large auditorium.
